If you are interested in getting involved with some of our volunteer activities, there are different opportunities participate throughout the year.
India
In the month of July, we have “Project Bookworm” and “Summer Party for Mizoram”. Both of these projects are for the benefit of an orphanage in Mizoram, India. With “Project Bookworm”, we collect books and toys donated by the local community, to send to the orphanage. We hold the Summer party to raise money to puchase books for the library at the school which the children from the orphanage attend. It is very hard to get accces to books in Mizoram. The library will be of great benefit to both the children from the orphanage, and the children from the surrounding community.
We also support a family in Calcutta, who run an after-school program for children from the lowest castes and poorest families. This family has a daughter with cerebal palsy, who requires physical therapy to learn how to walk and talk. We are providing financial support to pay the cost of her therapy.

In October, November and December we make gift bags and Christmas cards to give to homeless and other disadvantaged people in our community. We will be adding more information to our website, as this event draws closer.
